I have an aging Dominion KX II Model DKC2-424 KVM switch with Dual-VM USB CIM's. Would my current CIMs work with newer KX III KVM models? Thank you for your inquiry. The Dominion KX III units use the same CIM\'s as the KX II models, so they should work. The list of compatible CIMs include: D2CIM-DVUSB - Dual USB, VGA CIM for BIOS virtual media D2CIM-DVUSB-DVI - Dual USB, DVI-D CIM for BIOS virtual D2CIM-DVUSB-HDMI - Dual USB, HDMI CIM for BIOS virtual D2CIM-DVUSB-DP - Dual USB, DisplayPort CIM for BIOS virtual media D2CIM-VUSB - USB CIM for virtual media and Absolute Mouse Synchronization DCIM-PS2 - CIM for PS/2 DCIM-SUN - CIM for Sun DCIM-USBG2 - CIM for USB and Sun USB D2CIM-PWR P2CIM-SER |
Can the DKX3-864 have user expansion? Thank you for your inquiry, The concurrent users of a Dominion KX3 series switch cannot be expanded. The circuits for users are hard-wired in the switch. For all Dominion KX3\'s with various amounts of users, see the Dominion KX3 family page. Multiple Dominion KX3 switches (including one with more users) can be controlled through a central point with Raritan\'s CommandCenter Secure Gateway - providing a centralized gateway to access your entire network from one IP address. Please note, the DKX switch you would be connecting to would still determine the amount of concurrent users. If you would like a recommendation based on your setup, please feel free to contact your KVM Switches Online sales representative directly at 1-877-586-6654, at sales@kvm-switches-online.com, or via our online Chat functionality. |
I see that there is the new DKX4 series 1-Port IP KVM coming out - Are there any plans to replace DKX3-864 with a newer model like Raritan DKX4-864? Thank you for your inquiry, As of February 12th, 2018, Raritan does not currently have a public release plan for replacing the DKX3-864. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with! |
We are considering the DKX3-864 for being used on a USAF network. Is it considered a "Secure" KVM and does it have any DoD credentials, i.e. Common Criteria Portal, NIST FIPS, etc? Thank you for your inquiry, The Raritan DKX3-864 indeed meets DoD security standards including: AES & FIPS 140-2 encryption, UL certification, Common Access Card (CAC) authentication, PIV, FIPS 201, HSPD-12 and IPv6 networking.
